YEP – Young EVOO Producers was created in late 2016, bringing together in its formation a group of “Young” olive oil producers, whose elementary principles are based on four common denominations: Quality, Terroir, Excellence and Irreverence.

To be Young is to feel irreverence and joviality regardless of physical age, it is a state of mind that is sublimated in the existence of the EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil) that unites us as Producers.

Mont´Alverne DOP

Olive oil with roots in family lands tilled since 1835. Mont’Alverne is an Olive Oil born from the will to create high quality and unique olive oil, an endeavour deep within the family roots for the past 6 generations.

We have always tried to implement new and more sustainable agricultural techniques, such as monitoring soil humidity and enhancing cultivation systems, with a great respect for environmental protection and biodiversity, and will continue to do so.

Tasting notes: 

Nose: Light green fruity with notes of olive leaf and some apple and dry grass (tea).

Mouth: With medium bitter, medium spicy and slightly with notes of olive leaf and dried herb.

PASSION, DEDICATION AND QUALITY 2A symbolizes the 22 grandchildren of a generation that today pursues the dream of transforming its family’s agricultural farming adventure, the 2 Álvaros of this lineage and verbalizes, in English, the passion of 2 centuries: the TUA river. With unique and unparalleled texture and flavors, 2A is an outstanding olive oil, the ideal choice for dishes with distinct “character”.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Fruity Ripe with very slight notes of apple and olive leaf.

Mouth: Light green fruity with very slight notes of olive leaf, apple and some ripe nuts, slightly spicy and sweet and mildly bitter.

CAIXEIRO DOP

PASSION is the fundament base of our history! The ancestral tradition of the know-how has perpetuated for generations.

The olive oil CAIXEIRO comes from the traditional varieties Cobrançosa, Madural and Verdeal Transmontana. Made from whole and healthy olives, with adequate maturation, its extraction is immediate at Cold extraction in 2 phases system with stone mill.

Tasting notes:

Presents a very fresh aroma with notes of fresh olives, herb and tomato. In the palate bitter and spicy are fairly balanced, with notes of olive leaf and very harmonious and prolonged aftertaste.

Casa de Santo Amaro Prestige

The production area of Casa de Santo Amaro olive oil is located in the heart of Trás-os-Montes, in the so-called “Terra Quente Transmontana”, on the municipality of Mirandela. It is in this area, more specifically around the little village of Sucçães that Casa de Santo Amaro has its olive groves, thus constituting a unique terroir that combines very poor schist soils, different expositions, great thermal amplitudes with very hot and dry summers and very cold winters. The olive groves are situated between 250 and 450 meters and are conducted under Integrated Production.

Presents a very fresh aroma with notes of fresh olives, herbs and green tomato. In the palate bitter and spicy are fairly balanced, with notes of olive leaf and very harmonious and prolonged aftertaste.

MAGNA OLEA DOP

A truly unusual olive oil MAGNA OLEA is the result of an obsession. The obsession to produce maximum quality with great respect for the ecosystem. This olive oil comes from the Cobrançosa and Madural traditional varieties, making an unique batch exclusively produced by Jerónimo Abreu e Lima, every year world awards winning. Tasting notes:

Aromatic fruitiness of green olives and fresh grass. It has a smooth, bitter-sweet sensation that leads to an exotic melting pot of flavors featuring notes of apple, banana, tomato, almond and walnut, ending with a long-lasting spiciness.

Casa de Valpereiro Praemium

Sociedade Agrícola Alberto Manso Lda. is a Family farming house tracing its history back to the early beginnings of the 18th century and has been registered as a corporate entity in the year of 1994. The company is concentrated in olive oil production, pastures for livestock and cork, all made according to organic farming.

Tasting notes:

In the nose, it shows notes of green tomato and tomato vines, freshly cut grass, and a slight hint of apple and dry fruits. In the palate, slightly sweet and mediumly bitter and spicy, with notes of olive leaves, green tomato, some herbs and immature dry fruits (walnuts). It presents a harmonious prolonged aftertaste.
